Mrs P's Day for Jay! 12/8/17

The Wolves are at home for their last game of the season and it's a doozy, its Mrs P's Day for Jay!

That's right folks! The Wolves Annual Cancer Research fundraiser is THIS WEEKEND and will be held in honour of our most recently departed and sadly missed wolf, Jade Taivairanga.

It will, as usual, be a massive event with raffles, auctions, life members lunch, ladies afternoon tea (gold coin donation!), great food, cold beer, rugby, laughs and fun for all. The day will be attended by several Merrylands rugby past and present players, including 7 former club presidents!

It has become the biggest day on the Wolves calendar and we hope to see loads of you down there.

Go to  for all the details and let's do our best to help fight this dreaded infliction to save anymore of our brothers and sisters succumbing to it.

Merrylands vs Kings 29/7/17 & Merrylands v Epping 5/7/17

We had an ugly win against Kings followed by a Halligans Cup win against Epping. Want to know what happened in a little more detail? Go to  and you'll get the breakdown.

Vale Jade Taivairanga

It is with a heavy heart that informs its readers that former player Jade Taivairanga has passed away after a short but ferocious battle with cancer. Jade was truly one of the good guys. Jade was a damaging number 8 that played with the club from 2009 to 2011. He made his way up through the grades in a very short space of time, winning a premiership in 2009 in 4th grade, then another title in 2010 with 3rds. In 2011 he was the first choice 1st grade number 8 where the team went down narrowly in the grand final. Jade was a member of the legendary 2010 U.S.A touring team. Jade was also a far better player than his brother, Marc.
